Sahale Snacks Review

Source

“Who says indulgent can’t be healthy?”
That’s Sahale’s slogan, and I totally agree. Sahale makes all natural nut mixes and glazed nuts, that are low in sodium, no trans fats, and truly satisying. They encourage you to “Snack Better” and eat their yummy snacks. We all know how much I enjoy nuts, so it was a real treat to eat these!  They come in Nut Blends, each with a different “story” or background info, and also glazed nuts.
From the Nut Blends, i tried the Soledad and Sing Buri variety, and from the glazed nuts I tried the Cashews with Pomegranate & Vanilla, and the Almond PB&J. Now i know your getting excited, so I’ll just begin my review now 🙂

Soledad- These were almonds with apple, flax seeds, dates, balsamic vinegar and red pepper. They definietly had a kick to them, which i give credit to the cayenne pepper in these babies. The almonds were a nice consistency, a nice crunch to them. The apple bits were perfect in the mix, they took away some of the heat. I liked the sweetness and chewiness the apple bits provided. My dad really liked these, but they were a bit too spicy for me. It all depends if you like it hot 😛  3 1/2 stars

Sing Buri- these were cashews with pineapple, peanuts, lemongrass and mild chinese chili. These were also spicy, but not as spicy as the Soledad. I loved, once again, the fruit bits of pineapple. It nicely sweetened up the mix. The cashews were nice and “plump” if you will, and the peanuts were also yummy. They added a more mellow taste to the mix. The cashews are covered in sesame seeds, and are nicely salted. 4 stars!

Almond PB&J-wow. I didn’t know you could eat peanut butter and jelly in nut form. This one was rockkkkkking! Given i eat peanut butter and jelly/honey/applebutter/maple syrup sandwiches pretty much every day for lunch, i was so happy eating these. SO delicious! Each almond is coated with a sweet glaze and has bits of berries stuck to them. It actually tastes like a PB&J sandwich, minus the bread. I’m definitely getting this one again! 5 stars 🙂 🙂

Pomegranate Cashews-another winner in my eyes. The vanilla flavor is strong and delicious. It’s sweet, not oily and the little bits of pomegranate kick butt. Really, really, really addictive (not good because they are NUTS and nuts are high in calories!), but SOOO worth it!! It has a light brown sugar taste, and a wee bit of orangey flavor. So good, i ate the whole bag in 2 days. 😀 5 stars!

Overall, these rock. 4 stars for sure as a whole. They satisfied my hunger and my sweetooth (or “spice” tooth 😉 ) and were all natural and not oily or too salty at all. I also like how 1 ounce is slightly less caloric but just as satisfying nuts alone due to the pieces of fruit added. I really want to try the other flavors- especially the Valdosta Pecan!! (love pecans!!)

  1. Ok, you are now on my blogroll… AND, I have also become a Sahale fan on FB! I’ve never seen these nuts in stores near me before, so am hopeful that I win so I can try them! They sound delicous!

Currently, my favorite nut snack (seeing as I’m a Sahale virgin lol) would have to be Blue Diamon Cocoa Roasted Almonds. These are just everything that a snack should embody- they taste so pure and refreshing, with the perfect hint of decedance!

  2. OMG I JUST bought these!! I picked up the Sing Buri cashews and I can’t wait to try them!

You are alreday in my reader girl! 🙂
