Silk For Milk 10 Day Challenge + GIVEAWAY!

Silk contacted me and asked if I would like to participate in the Silk For Milk 10-Day Challenge. I was sent coupons for a free product of choice. I picked the PureAlmond Unsweetened Almond Milk.

By itself, it had a very fresh flavor, but bland. It was thicker than skim milk, and kind of had the consistency of soy milk. I really liked it’s creaminess!

Instead of normal milk, I used it with cereal

and put a splash in my scrambled eggs!

Overall, I thought it was pretty great! Β With the cereal, I also added a packet of stevia and it was just perfect! With the scrambled eggs, there wasn’t much of a taste change, but I noticed a very silky smooth consistency, that I believe the almond milk helped contribute to. And at 35 calories and 45% daily calcium needs per cup!?! Fantastic!

Now….Giveaway time!

  1. The only way I use milk is usually in my cereal, coffee or smoothies, so I would recplace it with that! But I have been on a huge kick of trying different milks lately and I would love to try this product!

  2. I would try out their new almond milk in smoothies! I think it would add a great texture and flavor.

  3. I already drink only Silk light soy milk and I absolutely adore the stuff. I use it JUST like I used to use milk and it works perfects.. I use it in smoothies and cereal the most though πŸ™‚ Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  4. I already don’t consume normal milk so I’d use it like I normally do and pour it into my cereal or oatmeal=]

  5. I already use blue diamond almond milk everywhere I would use regular milk – in my cereal and in recipes. I haven’t tried Silk’s almond milk though – it’s too expensive – so I’d love to get a coupon!

  6. I love silk! It has a thicker texture than regular milk and other almond/soy milks. πŸ™‚ I would use it in my cereals, oatmeal. I would also try it in making little fudgies with the cocoa, agave, and vanilla. Replacing the water with silk would make it even sweeter and probably thicker.

  7. I already love the Silk almond milk, and I use it in my cereal almost every morning! So if I won, that’s what I’d do πŸ™‚

  8. It would definitely be a breakfast staple: in cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, smoothies, coffee…

  9. I’m lactose-intolerant and already use alternative milks in foods and cooking. I especially like Silk with cold cereal πŸ™‚ *Thanks* for the giveaway!

  10. This is by far the most important thing in my diet. I am vegan and hypoglycemic and need the calcium. I literally us it 6-8 times a day this usually means i go through a whole half gallon a day by my self.the low calories helps me to do this and still be a size one and 13% body fat. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

  11. I love silk! Although I still drink cow’s milk, this is always a nice change. I use it in cereal or just drink a glass!

  12. I would try it out in oatmeal and also as an alternative ingredient for cheese sauce for the lactose-intolerant folks in my house.
