No Pudge! Fudge Brownie Mix Original

Brownies. Nothing quite like a brownie. And when the craving struck, I turned to no other than the No Pudge! Fudge Brownie Mix in the Original flavor.

The directions were easy peasy- add 2/3 cup of yogurt, mix, and bake! I added 2/3 cup of one of my favorite brands of yogurt, Stonyfield Farm.

Another thing I liked? That I didn’t have to use a hand mixer. Seriously. Mine is SO OLD I feel like it’s going to break every time I use it. I can see it now. Baking our yearly 3,000 (I’m exaggerating, of course) Christmas Cookies, and then POOF! out goes our electric mixer. Mixing by hand Β for ALL of those cookies would be no fun at all.

Anyway- for these I got to use a spoon.
Not to say mixing was easy, cause it wasn’t. This batter got super thick and hard to mix.

And can we say powder all over my counter? (Ok, I’m exaggerating again. It didn’t
get ALL over. But it certainly made a dusty appearance
on my white countertops.)

Hmm. Should I add something? I kept mixing, and decided a few drops of water would help things mix easier.

Aside from the fact that this pic is super blurry
(I blame my poor photography skills 100% for that),
the water seemed to do the trick.

I then transferred the mix to a pan and put it in the oven. I then had a failed attempt at getting the batter off the bowl. It was so sticky! It would not come off! (good thing for dishwashers!)

So. FINALLY. How did these brownies taste? That’s all that matters right? I’m sure you heard enough of my complaining about how the batter was too sticky or hard to mix. Poor me. Good thing I have a batch of brownies to console my whiny self…

yeaaaaaaaaaaa.

The taste? DE LIC IOUS . So good. Super fudgy and VERY SWEET! Man, did these satisfy my sweet tooth! They were also really moist and very chocolatey, and VERY RICH. Β It’s going to be hard not to eat all of these myself, which is why I can either be generous and

1.Share these with my friends
or
2. (the more likely option) freeze these and eat at a later date (which will more than likely be as soon as the fresh ones are consumed).

Overall? 4 1/2 stars. I wouldn’t exactly count these as health food in my opinion, given the 22 grams of sugar per serving just in the mix, but they are really delicious and worth a try! I do think they are a bit too sweet, but that just may be me!

Have you ever tried these brownies? How would you/did you eat them?
