Nutridel Pecan and Almond Cookies

Author: Healthnuttxo

Nutridel is a great brand that makes all natural, delicious cookies. These “cookies” are different than your typical chocolate chip, or sugary treat. They are filled with yummy nuts, seeds and grains, and don’t contain any refined sugar!

I tried the Oatmeal and Flaxseed varieites of the Nutridel cookies once before, but the folks over at Nutridel also sent me the Almond and Pecan flavors to try. Well- let me tell you, I LOVE THESE TWO FLAVORS! Thanks a bunch for sending me them, Nutridel, because I am now officially HOOKED!

Each cookie is flat, crunchy and about the size of a CD. You can see bits and pieces of nuts or seeds in each cookie. They all contain fiber, antioxidants, and are free of eggs, dairy, preservatives and hydrogenated oils. Sounds like my kind of cookie 😉

Almond- a pleasant almond aroma, this one has actual big slivers of almond throughout the cookie. Absolutely delicious. The almond flavor is so nice, you can even detect the “almond essences” listed in the ingredient list. Lightly sweet, but still very enjoyable.

Pecan- oh, wow, YUM! This is my favorite flavor. It has a buttery rich taste of pecans, with an almost fruity aftertaste. You can taste the light sweetness of the molasses as well. Satisfyingly crunchy and absolutely great.

Overall, I really love these 2 flavors. I give them 5 stars. Since I got my samples, I’ve already bought a few boxes of the Pecan and Almond flavors off of the website. Really, these cookies cannot be beat. Low sugar, high fiber, and made with whole wheat flour and all the good stuff! I like having these with yogurt, and I crumble them up on top of my “chocolate muffin/pudding sundae” for a nutritious boost and healthy crunch!

1 cookie is 59 calories, 1-2 grams of fat, 14 carbohydrates, 1.5-2 grams of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protein.

Almond- Whole Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Amaranth, Almonds, Molasses, Sunflower Oil and Natural Almond Essences.

Pecan- Whole Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Amaranth, Pecans, Molasses, Sunflower Oil and Natural Pecan Essence.

Nutridel Cookies

Author: healthnuttxo

Coooooookie time! Who doesn’t love cookie reviews?!
I was send by mail 2 of Nutridel’s Cookies, in Flaxseed and Oatmeal Flavor. A Nutridel cookie is, according to the website,  an “artisan, gourmet cookie, made by hand in small batches with all-natural, earth-loving high quality ingredients”. Each of the cookies are cholesterol free, no dairy, egg, trans fats, refined sugar or preservatives. They also all contain antioxidants, omega 3’s and fiber. Now these are my kind of cookies!

Each pack contains two 1 oz cookies that are 3.5 inches in diameter. Thats about the size of a CD, so it’s pretty big length wise. However, it’s a flat cookie, so it doesn’t provide much depth.
And, sorry, chewy-cookie lovers, these cookies are CRISPY and CRUNCHY!
Oatmeal- the oatmeal one has a very, well, “oaty” taste. And it should-it is oatmeal flavored! You can definietely see all the oats and sunflower seeds in the cookie. There is a slight sweetness to it, not overpowering at all. I think they should add a wee bit of cinnamon to the cookie for some extra flavor. I had both of mine with some greek yogurt- delicious combination!
Flaxseed-yumm. I liked this one much better. It was sweeter and had a nice molasses/brown sugar flavor too it. I also liked the cinnamon flavor it has. It didn’t have that “fishy” taste that sometimes flaxseed products have (or at least to me anyway). This one was my favorite of the 2!

The stats for these cookies are awesome. You can totally have both in one sitting, and even eat or drink something else with it! 4 stars for me!

Oatmeal- 1 cookie is 62 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, 14 carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein.
Flaxseed– 1 cookie is 57 calories, .7 grams of fat, 12 carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein.

The ingredient list is nice and short too. Just the way I like it 🙂

Oatmeal-Oats, Whole Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Sunflower Seeds, Dry Coconut, Sesamee Seeds, Molasses, Sunflower Oil.
Flaxseed- Oats, whole wheat flour, flaxseed, wheat bran, amaranth, molasses, sunflower oil, ground cinnamon.

sorry for the lack of posts guys- I’ve been SUPER busy. But i figured I would squeeze one in, just for you guys 🙂
Don’t forget my giveaway for ZEVIA ends tonight. ALL ENTRIES BEFORE 11:59 P.M. will be accepted. Winner chosen tomorow!
