Pure Bars are a bit different than your average granola or snack bar. They are “Raw” organic food bars. Nothing is cooked or processed to make the bars, and they have very minimal ingredients. They are all organic, low in sodium, vegan, gluten free, and provide 1 1/2 servings of fruit per bar. They also don’t contain any refined sugar, preservatives, trans fats, dairy, soy or GMO’s. These bars are simply PURE. I see them being sold mostly at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.
CranberryOrange- This was was delicious! It has an orange-y “after taste” which was very yummy with the tartness of the cranberry. It almsot leaves an orange peel flavor on your tongue. This one is reallly good, especially if you like cranberries. It was also the perfect amount of sweetness.
Cherry Cashew-yuuuuuum. I love cashews. And now i love cherries and cashews. This one had a nice tang to it provided by the cherries, which was mellowed out by the chunks of cashew. It almost had an apple-cherry flavor to it. So good.

Chocolate Brownie- while this one didn’t totally remind me of a brownie, as it wasn’t super sweet, it still was pretty good. A fruity/chocolatey taste, soft and chewy in consistency, and it had nuts in it, making it feel like a walnut brownie! yum!
Apple Cinnamon- This one tasted to me like apple pie. The apple chunks in the bar looked and tasted like the dried apples you get in Apple Cinnamon flavored instant oatmeal, like by Kashi or Quaker.( Which is okay with me, when i was little i would pick out those apple pieces and eat them raw!) The chunks of walnut also add a nice touch to the bar, and there was just a hint of cinnamon flavor.
Overall, these were excellent. They had a nice, soft texture, because it’s made mostly from fruit. I also really enjoyed the chewiness that the bar provided. The only bad part in my eyes is that each of these bars runs you about 200 calories, and they aren’t really that big. They are a decent size, but they are also very nutrient dense, so I don’t think they really need to be any bigger. They are very satisfying by themselves, as they pack a high nutritious punch with healthy fat, carbohydrates, fiber and protein. I definietly reccommend these bars! They are “way too good to be this good” !

I’ve never had these, but I heard they’re like Larabars. Are they? ^^ 🙂
yes! i find the larabars a bit more oily feel when you touch them and more crumbly, the PURE bars are chewier/more fruity in my opinion.
I’ve never had a Purebar, just Larabars 😛 But I’d love to try one. This review makes me really wanna try the apple cinnamon – apple pie tasting?! YES please 😉
Have a great night!
