Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

One of my new favorite things is hummus. I have not really tried it until this year, and I am so happy I finally did after seeing and hearing great things about it.

So, Sabra sent me a coupon to try a free hummus, and I picked the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. I wasn’t sure really why I had picked that flavor to be honest- I’m not even really a big fan of red peppers! But, it looked interesting and I figured Why Not?

And, after trying it, I am saying to myself Why Not Why Have I Never Tried This Before!?!?

Honestly, this was absolutely DELICIOUS. It is a pale yellow in color, with a center of pieces of red peppers. Super creamy, with a great flavor, I’m almost at a loss how to describe the taste other than delicious. It had a great salty flavor, with bits of garlicy flavor too. What I also liked was that the hummus itself did not have a really powerful red pepper flavor, and I could enhance the red pepper flavor to my preferences simply by mixing some of the middle in with the hummus. Perfection!

Overall, this gets 5 stars. I can CERTAINLY see myself eating this again. I find it very versatile and tasty, and I can’t wait to try other flavors that Sabra has to offer!

  1. i just tried their spinach & artichoke and wasn’t a fan. i didn’t even taste artichoke! and green peppers are way higher up on the ingredient list than either spinach or artichoke. weird. i loooooooove their garlic.

  2. Love their pine nut version! I slather a big ol spatula full on a whole wheat tortilla, add roasted chicken, carrots, romaine and sliced black olives and sometimes just a touch of ranch dressing. Fold it up and yum!

  3. Yup, love me some hummus! Hummus is great on a pita with or without chicken, feta cheese, cucumbers and balsamic vinegar. It’s also good used like you would mayo or mustard like on a sandwich, hamburger, veggie burger, chicken breast sandwich, etc. It’s great when you dip carrots, grape tomatoes, cucs and any chips in it as well. I’ve never had the roasted red pepper kind, but I bet it’s great. Sabra is def one of the best storebought brands of hummus. I know Costco has some right now if you are near one. Good stuff!

  4. I haven’t tried this brand of hummus yet because I have been getting a brand called Wild Garden. It’s only 35 calories for a two tbls serving instead of 70 calories, comes in 6 flavors, (Sun Dried Tomato!) and is soooo yummy!
