Granola…Can we all agree it’s just DELICIOUS?! Out of the bag by the handful, with milk, with yogurt and fruit… just amazing. However, as we can probably also agree, usually full of fat and sugar, and not always the healthiest option.
Struesli has come out with Granola Redefined…this granola has NO added sugar or sweetener, and no grains. The granolas are made with tiger nuts, which, fun fact, are a root vegetables!
A serving size is 1/4 cup, which is about 10 grams of fat, 6 carbs, 4 protein, 3 grams of fiber with only 1 gram of sugar and 130 calories (may vary per flavor).
Savory & Seed
–Made with tiger nuts, hemp hearts, golden flax meal, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds
-this one I think had a strong pumpkin and flax flavor, and I definitely can see It pairing as a topper for a savory dish. The featured picture was a piece of bread with eggs and avocado and It being sprinkled on top.
-I think the flax flavor was a bit too much.

– despite having no added sugar, this one packs a good flavor. It is coconut flavor heavy with a nice crunch and the smallest hint of saltiness. It is delicious right from the bag but also wonderful on yogurt.

Cacao and Coffee
-Made with tiger nuts, hemp hearts, pecans, cacao nibs, artisan coffee, walnuts
-This one honestly reminds me of munching on coffee grinds. The lack of sweetness brings out the bitterness of this flavor. I know the idea is no added sweetness, but I think a touch of honey would have went a long way here. The other nuts such as the pecans and walnut flavor are really masked by the coffee flavor

Overall – worth a shot! The Good ol Original is my favorite. The others… I think really require the proper pairing to be good. I do appreciate a company not loading up their products with sugar and oil however!
