Ketchup! I’ve never been a huge fan of ketchup, as I normally dipped my foods in applesauce, but I tried it recently since it seems to be popular in the blog world. Just the other night I had some ketchup with roasted cauliflower and roasted potatoes- the perfect addition!
Ketchup may get a bad rap because of the added refined sugar, but perhaps the one Organicville provides is better. I bought a bottle of this with a 50 cents off coupon the company gave me. According to the website, “Organicville’s exciting new organic Ketchup is made with the finest vine-ripened tomatoes and organic seasonings. And as always, we bring it to you without any added sugar! Sweetened with agave nectar, this richly flavored ketchup has the fresh hearty taste and texture you love!” Sounds good to me! 🙂
So, how’s the taste? Actually quite good! It was sweeter than what I am used to, and not as oniony/spicy as some other brands I have tried in the past. It sort of reminded me of a cross between BBQ sauce and ketchup– but didn’t totally have that salty zing to it that I have had with other ketchups.
Overall, I give it 4 stars. I love the fact that it’s organic, has no refined sugar, and is also gluten free. The sodium isn’t too high, either, with only 125mg per 1 Tbsp. serving. However, I did sort of miss the stronger salty/oniony flavors that other ketchups I have had provided.

I have never heard of this but I use the Heinz organic ketchup when I eat it. I saw a recipe for homeade ketchup last week on one of the many healthy living blogs I read. It sounded great but now I can’t remember which blog I saw it on! Oh well, thanks for review!
I want to try this. The Heinz brand has HFCS in it. Those punks. I need organic ketchup.
I guess maybe ketchup is supposed to be sweet but I really do wish they’d make a low- or no-sweetness version. Back in college I remember going through a pretzels-dipped-in-ketchup addiction for a long time. I still crave it once in awhile. Thanks for the review…I may have to try this one next time the craving comes on!
